Andy Clarke

President and CEO, ASDA Stores, Ltd.

Andy Clarke is the president and CEO of ASDA Stores, Ltd., Walmart's retail operations in the United Kingdom, with more than 370 stores and 165,000 associates.

Andy has worked in a variety of roles since joining Asda in 1992, including store manager, followed by key roles in Trading (Merchandising) and then Operations.

After moving to UK clothing retailer Matalan as Chief Operations Officer in 2002 to 2003, he then worked as Managing Director at UK retailer Iceland in 2004 to 2005.

Andy returned to Asda as Retail Director in 2005 where he was responsible for leading the company’s retail operations. Andy was named as the Chief Operating Officer in 2007.

He was educated at Kings Grammar School, Grantham, and is married with three children.
