Wal-Mart Heart is a volunteer program that one of our truck drivers started to help people with chronic medical conditions. Our drivers make these individuals “honorary Wal-Mart drivers,” visit their homes and give them the ride of a lifetime in a Wal-Mart truck.
Today the program includes more than 100 drivers who have reached out to thousands of individuals.
In November 2008, Wal-Mart purchased four double beds for the family, and associates donated enough bedding for all the children to sleep soundly. Our Victorville store donated the swing set, and several other local stores give cash and gifts as well.
