In fiscal 2010, we launched a number of key initiatives to grow the business. For example, eValues strengthens relationships with Plus members by adding even more value to the Sam’s Club membership. We are showing members how to save even more by shopping additional categories in the club. We expect to see increased sales and memberships.
Our focus on measuring member insights is powering merchandising, membership and operational initiatives. Member views and attitudes guide us in making merchandise choices that are more relevant for all members, as well as meeting their high quality expectations. We are tailoring our merchandise mix and strengthening quality to accelerate share growth in large profitable categories.
We are even more focused on meeting the needs of both our Advantage and Business members. Members rely on Sam’s for a variety of products including fresh food, office products, health and wellness, and consumable products. In addition, we are able to excite our members with great electronic, seasonal, apparel and other products. Members continue to shop us for many reasons – from the “stock up” trip to the weekday dinner to the special event.

Leveraging efficiency to drive returns. We are investing greater capital in remodeling clubs to make shopping more efficient and enjoyable. We have made our clubs more productive by reducing inventory, leveraging expenses and eliminating non-value-added activities. Our process improvements significantly strengthened scores in associate productivity and member satisfaction this year. In addition, our new innovations team leverages key learnings from the Walmart U.S. business, as well as shares best practices across the U.S. club network.

Exceeding our members’ expectations on productquality and assortment is at the heart of the Sam’sClub experience, whether it’s an Advantage orBusiness member. When we integrate that withexcellent services, we have a recipe for memberretention and growth.
